- Contracts:
Communicates ACEC Houston concerns regarding professional service contracts to local public entities. Reviews contracts proposed by the public entities and negotiates updates to engineering fee curves and other matters with the City and County. Meetings are held on the fourth Tuesday of the month at 7:30 a.m. at ACEC Houston offices.

- Design Standards/Plan Review:Provides the focus for review of design criteria standards of the regulatory agencies and plan review issues. Serves as a conduit to recommend revisions and additions to the various design criteria standards of the City, County and Flood Control. Meets with regulatory agencies monthly to accomplish its goal. Meets with just ACEC Houston members on the first Thursday of the month, 8:00 a.m. at ACEC Houston offices and with Agency personnel on the third Tuesday of each month, 7:30 a.m, Harris County Flood Control District first floor conference room (9900 Northwest Freeway).

- Geotechnical: Reviews geotechnical issues as related to civil engineering with public agencies at the direction of the Board. Meetings are every other month on the 4th Wednesday at 1:30 pm, at ACEC Houston offices.

- Membership: Reviews and processes applications for membership in ACEC Houston. Arranges receptions for local agency officials and key governmental staff members who work with ACEC Houston members throughout the year. Coordinates activities with Texas-CEC for state-wide events. Plans and arranges special events for ACEC Houston membership. Meetings are held quarterly at the ACEC Houston offices, 2180 North Loop West, Suite 320.

- Stormwater Management:
Serves as a resource to the public agencies and offers ACEC Houston members recourse for drainage and flood control issues. Reviews storm water permitting issues and drainage design criteria. Keeps members apprised of new or changing regulations. Meets on the 4th Wednesday each month at IDS Engineering Group offices at 7:45 a.m. Quarterly meetings are held at the Harris County Flood Control District (9900 Northwest Freeway), room 100, with agency personnel at 7:30 a.m.

- Transportation: The committee's focus is on issues concerning all aspects of transportation and provide support to the ACEC Houston Board of Directors on daily business issues with local governmental agencies. Provides input into local governmental agencies concerning transportation issues. Meets 2nd Tuesday of each month, 7:30 a.m., at the ACEC Houston offices, 2180 North Loop West, Suite 320.

- Water Resources:
The Committee objective is to identify any water supply issues that may be of concern to the engineering community and propose solutions/recommendations to the Board. Currently the Committee is working on preparing design guidelines or criteria so that the water supply lines to and from water plants of different jurisdictions can be compatible. The Water Resource Committee meets the first Friday of each month, 7:30 a.m., at the ACEC Houston offices, 2180 North Loop West, Suite 320.
